Two scholars under trees. Ink and few color on paper, mounted as a hanging scroll. Signed: "Painted in the third spring month of the yihai year [1875] in the style of Hua Qiuyue (Hua Yan, 1682-1756) for the appraisal of Mr. Yi Zhuang, He Chong". Two artists' seals: "Er Tian", "He Chong zhi yin".

He Chong from Nanhai, Guangdong was a Chinese painter of the late Qing Dynasty, was known for his landscape figure paintings and paintings of birds and flowers - Minor signs of age, few creases, tear repaired
